Joining malahide yacht club

The club is open for membership in all categories. Dinghy and keelboat sailors, whether novices or experienced, are most welcome as well as those wishing to join for socialising. If you are interested in sailing for yourself or your family and would like to discuss membership options or how best to take up sailing as a hobby please contact one of the people listed on the Officers and Contacts page.

The forms set out the various categories of membership with the relevant subscription rates. Please note that Pavilion membership is strictly for those not intending to sail and no daytime car parking rights accrue. For 'Country' or 'Overseas' membership please use the 'Ordinary/Family' application form.

In addition to occasional short courses, two 3 week summer courses are run for junior members in July and August at the Broadmeadows facility. These are Irish Sailing Association (ISA) approved and cater for Levels 1, 2, 3 and 4. Details are posted on the Courses and Junior Courses pages as soon as arrangements have been finalised.

Children must be aged nine or over, be able to swim (a standard distance in clothes in accordance with ISA standards) and have a boat or a place in a boat. Parents are expected to help with on-site supervision (usually for one morning or an afternoon).

To Renew an Existing Membership

A Membership Renewal invoice will be posted to each individual member. Please check the invoice, correcting as necessary, and return with credit card details or cheque to the address on the form. Subscriptions are renewable in January and any member still in default on 1 st May will cease to be a member. Please refer any queries to Deirdre Moore-Somers , Hon.
