reggatta217The MYC Dinghy Regatta, kindly sponsored by Avolon, attracted an entry of 73 boats and boards across seven classes, with success for several MYC sailors too.
The Lasers (19 boats in total) saw an MYC clean sweep with Sean Anglim, Sarah Jayne Gallagher and Cliona Fitzpatrick taking the honours in the Full, Radial and 4.7 rigs respectively.
George O’Connor headed the Kona fleet, Kingsley Long topped the Topaz entries and Sophie Kilmartin was a close second in the Optimists.

In the Optimist Regatta fleet, Glenda Gallagher was 3rd overall.

Thanks to Niall Gallagher and Colm Paul as Race Officers for the Main Fleet and Graham Smith and Russell Camier for the Regatta Fleet, as well as all the mark-layers and rescue boat handlers and Matt Ryan for co-ordinating all the support/rescue craft.

The post-racing BBQ was provided by Kyles Catering while the Strawberries and Cream was nostalgic nod to the past and was well received.
