The Rockabill Rally on Saturday has a dozen boats signed up already and spaces are available for Club members and their friends who are interested in sampling keelboat sailing.

First start in the staggered start format will be 10.00am and the last about half an hour later, with the plan to have the fleet back to Malahide by 2.30pm, followed by BBQ (€15pp, booking required) and the Rabodirect PRO12 Final between Leinster and Ulster.

Malahide Yacht Club is offering newcomers to sailing two opportunities to sample life afloat, with a dinghy sailing experience on the Broadmeadows Estuary on May 4^th followed a week later with the chance for those wishing to try larger keelboat sailing in the open sea.

We are hosting a free Open Day on Saturday 4^th May from 12pm to 4pm at our Dinghy Sailing Centre. All ages are welcome and club members will be on hand to provide information and advice. Experienced sailors will be available to take newcomers sailing.

The Open Day is part of a nationwide initiative called ‘Sail Spree’, promoted by the Irish Sailing Association over the May Bank Holiday Weekend to introduce the sport of sailing to the public.
