Joining Malahide Yacht Club
The club is open for membership in all categories -
Ordinary, Family, Cadet, Senior, Pavilion, Country and Overseas
-whether they are novices or experienced sailors.
Ordinary, Family and Cadet Membership categories are best suited to those who wish to race in club races as well as enjoy all the club’s facilities. Those owning a keelboat will need to make separate mooring arrangements in the Marina or the Estuary while a nominal fee applies to those wishing to keep a dinghy in the Broadmeadows dinghy pen.
These categories are also suited to those who are more interested in cruising or non-competitive sailing, with many novice sailors learning to sail in the cruising section.
Those wishing to learn to sail or to crew on a boat can enquire by making contact with those listed in the Contacts Page.
Senior Membership applies to those over 65 years of age who have been voting members for ten consecutive years before reaching 65.
Pavilion Membership is for those who wish to enjoy the social facilities of the club but no longer wish to sail, although they have no daytime car parking rights.
Country and Overseas Membership is for those living outside the greater Dublin area and abroad respectively but who wish to maintain their links with the Club.
Membership application forms – with the appropriate subscription rates – are available in PDF format and can be downloaded by clicking the relevant link below:
Renewing an existing Membership
Subscriptions are renewable in January each year and in advance, a Membership Renewal Invoice is emailed or posted to each individual member.
Members are asked to check the details on the invoice for accuracy (correcting any errors, as necessary) and then return the form with credit card details or cheque no later than May 1st of each year.
Membership ceases for anyone in default after that May 1st deadline.
Queries on any membership issue can be directed to the Hon. Membership Secretary, Malahide Yacht Club, St. James’s Terrace, Malahide, or via the Contacts Page.
