A very big thank you to all our members who came out in their droves to help ensure that this event was a success.
A win onshore!
Before, we got onto the water we had a win. Over 70 members participated in everything from sponsorship, communications, logistics, race management, results, grounds management, catering, parking allocation, trolley collecting, rescue and support.
The level of support and Volunteerism was noted and commended by other clubs.
The sun shone, new friendships were formed and the air was filled with positivity. Congratulations to all for making the weekend such a success.
Finally, I’d like to thank the organising committee who put in endless hours of work, months before this event to make it such a success.
Win on the water!
With over 135 boats competing in 2 fleets, this was a big event.
Our 12 main fleet sailors and 7 Regatta fleet sailors represented the club with pride with some carving their names onto trophies.
Notable in main fleet was the performance of Kate Campion who won 3rd in Senior silver. This was a huge achievement in such a competitive fleet.
Next was Our Best local sailor, 12th place in the Junior Gold – was Joanna Berry.
Regatta fleet: Many getting first hand experience and distinguishing themselves with great performances were
Best U9 Sailor – Thomas Flavin
Best local sailor – Sean Cronin
Youngest Sailor – Juliet Ryan
Most improved sailor – Dan Clohessy
Best newcomer – Cian Fowler
Again, we are proud of all our sailors who represented the club and know they enjoyed the experience. Congratulations to all.
