Closure of St. James’s Terrace Clubhouse – COVID-19

Each Member

Malahide Yacht Club

The Government has requested that all licensed premises close in order to reduce the risk and opportunity for the transmission of the Covid-19 Coronavirus.  We have agreed that St. James Terrace will close from Sunday 15th March 2020.  A decision on the re-opening will be made on consideration of HSE advice at the end of this month.
I want to acknowledge and thank all of the members of Malahide Yacht Club for your support and the responsible approach demonstrated to tackling the challenge we are all dealing with.  We have developed a very solid communication network among our membership and I would encourage you to continue using the forums we have established.  If you have any suggestions as to how we, as a Club, can play a role in the ongoing situation, please email me separately.
Again, the safety of all our members is paramount and we want to support every initiative to reduce any opportunity for transmission of this virus among members and in the Community.  Remember, our health authorities and the Emergency Services are dealing with an unprecedented situation.  Please be conscious of this if venturing afloat to ensure we do not place additional pressures on these services.
Together we will get through this.
