Local Race Officer Course – MYC & SS&BC in conjunction with Irish Sailing
This course is for anyone with an interest in understanding what happens on a committee boat. Running committee boat is about creating a team of volunteers who come together to deliver top quality racing for competitors.
This course is aimed at aspiring race officers and anyone else who might like to assist on committee boats. The course covers the role and responsibilities of the Race Officer, Timekeeper, Recorder, Signaller (flags) and how the team work together to deliver great racing.
The course content will be delivered by Barry O’Neill (National Race Officer), who has a wealth of experience in this area of race management and in building winning teams.

Equipment necessary: Note taking materials. Warm clothing for outdoor activities.
