Keelboat Training commencing at MYC!

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to go sailing out of Malahide Estuary and around Fingal Bay area?  Well now’s your chance!  Sailing is the perfect antidote to a busy week at the office!  Enjoy picturesque Malahide from the water, and explore the Fingal Bay area taking in Donabate, Lambay, Skerries, and Ireland’s Eye while learning the essentials of sailing.

All our sailing takes place in J24 keelboats.  These 24 foot long (7.3m) boats are the world’s most popular keelboat class and are designed to be sailed by four to six people. It is also the most successful small one-design keelboat class in the history of sailing and is one of the most active and growing fleets in Ireland.  These boats are safe and fun to sail which make them ideal boats to learn on.  The boats are stable and fast, so you can be guaranteed an enjoyable, exciting and safe time learning to sail.

Are you ready to give sailing a try but not sure not if you’re ready to commit to a full class? Then come down for one of our Taster Session on our J24s.  We have sessions to accommodate your busy schedule so you can register to sail on the weekends or enjoy a sunset sail during the weekdays. In these 4 hour sessions, your Skipper will get you feeling comfortable on your sea legs. Maximum of 4 adult participants per class.

Training is open to cadets, teens, adults and families.  All our training courses are open to non-members.
