MYC Sailors Qualify

Over the past few of weeks many sailors young and old, parents and also many guests from other Yacht Clubs around the country, have been completing courses at MYC.

These courses included –

  • Safe Guarding,
  • Emergency Care Course,
  • Introduction to Power boating,
  • Continuous Professional Development (Dinghy Instructor Renewals)
  • Marine Radio VHF Short Range Certificate Course and
  • National Powerboat Certificate Course.

As there were just under 50 people involved in all of the courses, it would be too lengthy to mention every single person, all of whom put in 100% effort into gaining their new sailing qualifications!

Well done to everyone

and many thanks to

all of our course instructors too!

Course Programme Development

More sailor development courses will feature soon and a priority is to run a Dinghy Pre-entry and Instructor Course at the end of August / early September. More details to follow – but if you or your sailor are interested in Dinghy Pre-entry / Instructor Course and you are close to 17 years of age please contact colm.wynne@gmail.com  asap.  We will also run a course to prepare people for their Pre-entry.

Minimum numbers are required to run these courses, so now is the time to start getting ready to attain your instructor qualification during 2019.
