Baltimore 2019 Training Camp had a fleet of 49 tough optimist fleet sailors brace the cold February weather during the recent midterm break. Our travellers this year were William & Hanna Walsh (prizewinners in Cork at last year’s Nationals) and Juliette Ryan (the youngest sailor at the Ulster’s hosted here in MYC Broadmeadows last year). Their class captain reckons if he were a betting man, these sailors will be the ones to watch in 2019 and beyond. Congratulations to all competing in such tough conditions and representing our club.

We’re all very proud of you.

This weekend see the second part of our joint MYC / HYC training sessions being held in Broadmeadows. This training is for those who have competed in regional events last year and are training for the trails in April. With over 20 boats attending, it’s worth a visit to see.

As always all participants must be rigged and ready for briefing at 1:40pm this Saturday & Sunday.

The remaining of the series will then take place the following week at HYC, on the Bank Holiday Monday 18th March.
